The Bull Pen was opened in February 1996, but the work started long before that, almost a year and a half earlier.

Jerry Buhrow, at that time, was semi-retired and "wanted something to do."  He found this warehouse, deemed it "perfect" and set to work.

The club started with a membership of 125.  Now, eight years later, the total is over 2,200.

Jerry, being a creative person, is always looking for ways to  make the  club even more unique.

The members enjoy bringing their guests into an atmosphere of beauty and relaxation.  There are several private alcoves, seating from 4 to 20 people.  In addition to those spaces, there are two completely private rooms with seating for 35-45 people.  Many parties are held in these rooms, both personal and business.  It has become a favorite place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other special events.

There have been many improvements to the Bull Pen since it opened.  The newest addition is The Bull Pen Sports Club and Garden Room which overlooks our fresh herb and flower beds.  We grow our own fresh herbs year round.  When the climate prohibits outdoor gardening, we utilize our state of the art green house to supply our chefs with an abundance of fresh herbs.  The difference in having fresh herbs cut just before their use is remarkable in their flavor.

One specialty of the club is a European vine-ripened Beefsteak Tomato Salad, made with sliced tomatoes, Vidalia onions, fresh sweet basil, purple basil and garlic chives.  It is topped with feta and bleu cheese crumbles and a dressing made by our chef.

The menu at the club is a delight of Certified Angus beef, fresh seafood, house specialties, salads, soups and desserts all prepared by 3 chefs with combined culinary experience of over 70 years.

The Bull Pen also features a wonderful wine cellar, open for members and their guests to come in and browse, choosing from a large variety of wines to compliment our food.
